What to look for when shopping for spy cameras

Spy cameras have come down in price considerably due to advances in technology. They are now within easy reach of the average consumer. Spy cameras are miniature electronic cameras that can "see" through a very small opening. For this reason, they are sometimes referred to as "pinhole cameras". You can buy bare board cameras, which you hide yourself, or you can buy spy cameras that are designed as working everyday objects. You can get spy cameras hidden in a real book, a set of working desktop speakers for your PC, a working mantle clock or a mirror.

These hidden spy cameras are wireless, making installation a snap. Be sure and look for a deal where you get a free wireless receiver with the camera. You an view the output of these spy cameres on a TV with a spare video input, or record the images on a VCR or DVR. You can also buy all of the necessary software and hardware to view and record the output on your existing PC. Or you can buy a complete surveillance system, including cameras, a DVR and a display, concealed in a backpack, a purse or a briefcase.
